1. What brought you to Sol Systems?

I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in renewable energy, and RECs specifically interested me. When I heard about Sol and their work to incentivize clean energy through SRECs, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

2. What motivated you to pursue a career in renewable energy?

In college, I was an economics and environmental studies double major. I initially started as an economics major and after taking an environmental class for fun, I learned about the importance of clean energy and the complexity of the industry. I knew that a job within the industry would allow me to make a difference in the world while also pursuing my business career.

3. Why do you like working with SRECs specifically?

I think SRECs are a great energy commodity. Their function as an extra revenue stream for customers makes them great incentives for renewable energy.

4. What skills are you looking to build at your current position as a customer service manager?

For starters, I’ve developed my analytical skills throughout my time in SREC operations, as well as my work with contract outreach. But there’s still so much more for me to learn about the solar industry, including state-level policy.

5. What’s your favorite part of working on a customer service team?

One of my favorite memories so far was when I flew up to DC to complete my first week on the job in person. I was able to work in the office alongside my coworkers, and we wrapped up the week with a fun day tubing on the river. Definitely a highlight.

6. Outside of Sol Systems, what do you like to do for fun?

I like being outside. Whether that’s playing golf with friends, spending time out on the lake, or playing sports, I enjoy it all.
