Service Spotlight Series – Avery Sellers

Company Culture |
By Claire Siwulec

To pay homage to our dedicated SREC team here at Sol Systems, we’ve launched our Service Spotlight Series! This interview series will provide the opportunity for our customers and partners to get to know their customer service representatives and key players on the SREC team to learn about what goes into serving our 15,000 customers each day. Our series continues with newly appointed Senior Business Development Associate, Avery Sellers.

Avery Sellers is a Senior Business Development Associate on the SREC Team.

1.You recently moved into a new role as a Senior Business Development Associate. How are your roles and responsibilities going to change as compared to your previous role?

In my new role, my time will be exclusively dedicated to work on the business development side of REC & SREC Aggregation. I’ll be 100% dedicated to our partners, VIP customers, and new installers and customers.

2. Why did you decide to take on this new role at Sol?

I really enjoy helping our new and existing installers figure out what will work for their business. With installers, if we can fix a SREC puzzle piece that they may face in their business operations, that’s what created long-term success and great relations on our end. We succeed when our customers and partners succeed.

3. With your prior experience on the SREC team and other Sol Systems departments, what are you looking to gain out of your new position?

I am looking forward to working more closely with our installer partners and finding new ways of supporting them in multiple areas at one time. My new role works in real time at a faster and more interactive pace, so I’ll have the flexibility to solve problems for installers as they come up.

4. How does the business development coincide with the customer service front of SRECs?

If our team manages the installer account well, customers will have more information accessible and mitigate potential confusion. Because of this, installers will have the ability to answer the questions themselves because we provide the tools and resources to do so. The business development side of SRECs is all about customer experience and making sure our installers and customers have everything at their disposal.

5. Outside of Sol, what do you like to do for fun?

Throughout quarantine, I’ve picked up tennis and have tried to get as much time outdoors as possible. I finally got around to hiking Old Rag in Shenandoah National Park and building my own PC.
