1.3 MW

Development

Grand Island, NE

Sol Systems worked with the City of Grand Island, Nebraska to provide optimal and fixed pricing on a 1.3 MW solar system over 30 years through a power purchase agreement (PPA), which allowed the city to simply purchase electricity from the array at a fixed price by letting a third-party investor finance and own the system. Through this contract, the Grand Island Utilities Department further diversified their own energy portfolio and receive a low fixed rate by using solar energy without any upfront expenditure. This project was made possible by N-Solar, a partnership between Sol Systems and Gen-Pro to help guarantee a locked-in price on their electricity from a renewable source.
