George Ashton volunteers well over 40 hours a year to support the career development for underserved youth through HERO. He has also served on the committee of the Community Ministries of Rockville, which seeks to improve quality of life by providing housing, healthcare, homecare, education, and emergency assistance to vulnerable Montgomery County residents. George, a Rockville resident, served on a committee at the Ministries that focused on finding housing and jobs for men suffering from drug addiction, or had recently been released from jail. George and his young son, Andrew, also take breakfast to the men’s shelter several times throughout the year.
