Scott Day is joining the IT team as Chief Technology Officer working closely with Mike Gibson. In his most recent role, he was Chief Technology Officer at SoundExchange where he built and successfully transitioned the org to a cloud and services-based platform, grew and led the tech team, and was a member of the executive team. Prior to his role at SoundExchange, he was Chief Technology Officer at The Motley Fool. At the Motley Fool, he was responsible for all aspects of IT, including the expansion of international markets, company innovation through app development and cloud computing and simultaneously created and taught an internal university course to bridge the gap between IT and business. Before his time at the Motley Fool, he was Vice President of Application Software and Analytics Practice at In-Q-Tel, where he led the practice in investing in innovative application software and analytics technologies, vetting deal opportunities, and managing technology delivery from portfolio companies. Scott holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.S. in Management of IT from the University of Virginia.
