Mr. Horwitz is the founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Sol Systems. Since establishing the company in 2008, he has transformed the business into a leading infrastructure business currently focused on developing, building, owning and operating clean energy projects throughout the United States. Sol has developed partnerships with Google, Microsoft, Meta, Rivian, REI, Patagonia and others to launch its Infrastructure + Impact strategy, which enables the development of clean energy projects that are more attuned to the needs of a project’s surrounding communities. The Company funds and supports a commitment of over one hundred million dollars in ongoing philanthropic funding in communities surrounding its projects.   

Mr. Horwitz is an active member of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), the American Clean Power Association (ACP) and sits on the Board of the Clean Energy Buyers Alliance (CEBA). He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia and a dual B.A. from the College of William and Mary.
