Anna Toenjes leads Sol Systems’ Impact team, where she oversees the company’s work to pair clean energy deployment with innovative land stewardship and deep community investment. She does this by designing programs that marry solar development with farmland preservation, educational partnerships, and community investment, channeling more than $2 million annually into local economies.
Over her 14 years at Sol Systems, Anna has helped bring over 150 megawatts of solar and storage projects to life through business development and financing partnerships with municipalities, universities, and corporate leaders. Today, she’s focused on ensuring the clean energy transition delivers real benefits to the people and places where projects are built. Anna has spoken at RE+, RE+ Northeast, and RE+ Midwest, and brings policy and community experience from her early career in Senator Olympia Snowe’s office and at Bowdoin College’s Upward Bound program. Anna holds a B.A. in Government and Legal Studies and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College.
