The Maryland Clean Energy Center encourages the transformation of the energy economy with programs that catalyze the growth of business, increase related “green collar” jobs, and make clean energy technologies, products and services affordable, accessible, and easy to implement for Maryland residents.

George Ashton was appointed to the MCEC Board of Directors in January 2011. He was later appointed Treasurer by then Governor O’Malley. In this role, George has spearheaded many of MCEC’s renewable energy and energy efficiency financing programs and helped to plan the organization’s annual conference.
