As our company continues to grow, we’re happy to welcome new members to our Sol team. With this blog post, we’d like to introduce you to Christine, Ram, and Caleb.
Christine Cauley – Director of Portfolio Management
Christine Cauley directly manages Sol Systems’ current portfolio of over 22 MW and 2,500 customers on a daily basis. She is responsible for designing and executing solar supply and demand models, taking into account multiple variables, in order to give an accurate view of SREC market conditions and the portfolio’s position. She also uses her technical background to evaluate potential business development opportunities.
Ms. Cauley comes to Sol Systems with over a decade of experience in investment management. Immediately prior, Ms. Cauely worked as an Operations Manager and Equity Trader at Century Capital Management. There she actively traded Small, Mid, and Large Cap stocks and performed technical analysis to identify significant levels within stocks and markets to trade on for her team. She also has worked on the computer programming side during her time at Rhumbline Advisers Corporation where she automated the pooled fund reporting and accounting process by writing several scripts, batch files, recording macros, and designing a custom report that was disseminated to clients.
Ms. Cauley holds a Master of Science from Boston University in Computer Information Systems. She graduated with honors from Bentley College with Bachelor of Science in Finance.
Ram Dobson – Programmer
Ram Dobson develops the SolMarket web application and other database applications for Sol Systems. As part of the Sol Systems IT
team he is responsible for the maintenance and development of the platforms and technologies used by Sol Systems, which has included utilizing Ruby, Rails, SQLite, JQuery and PostgresqSQL.
Ram Dobson joins SolSystems with over 6 years of experience developing web-based applications for businesses and the government. His core experience has been with Ruby, Rails, the web, and an agile, object-oriented design process. Immediately prior, he worked as a web application developer for the National Institute on Drug Abuse where he designed and developed database web backed applications using Perl, an ORM (DBlx::Class), and an MVC framework (Catalyst).
Mr. Dobson holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from Temple University, with extensive Computer Science coursework.
Caleb Thompson – Programmer
Caleb Thompson develops the SolMarket web application and other database applications for Sol Systems.
Mr. Thompson specializes in enterprise application development and web development, and has experience in both the financial and defense industries — including expertise in networking, artificial life programming, and signal processing. Previously, he worked as a Software Engineer at BIT Systems where he developed software solutions as prototypes for potential defense industry contracts.
A recent graduate from the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Mr. Thompson comes to Sol Systems with two years of previous software engineering experience in addition to this education.
