Rennie Friedman serves as the director of project development for the engineering team, where he manages our solar projects through the development stage. He oversees civil, electrical, and structural engineers, along with other key project sub-consultants and internal team members, to ensure the design, approval, and permitting process are completed on time with a keen eye on budget.
Mr. Friedman brings more than 13 years of civil engineering, real estate development, and construction experience to the Sol team. Most recently, he was a Design Build Manager at Corman Construction, a heavy civil contractor in the Mid-Atlantic region. While there, Mr. Friedman managed multiple facets of design build projects in the pre-construction phase, including design/engineering, utility relocation, right of way acquisition, and public relations. Prior to Corman, he was a Planning and Development Manager at Walton Development & Management (USA), Inc., where he managed 2 real estate development projects in Prince George’s County, MD. He has also served as a Project Manager at Bohler Engineering, a site civil engineering firm.
Mr. Friedman holds a BS in Civil Engineering with a minor in Economics from The George Washington University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland and the District of Columbia, as well as a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), and a Designated Design Build Professional (Assoc. DBIA).
