Rebecca Oren serves as Director of Accounting and Structured Funds at Sol Systems, where she is involved in all aspects of accounting, including both day-to-day activities as well as reporting and special projects. She is in charge of management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, billing, cash management, revenue recognition, etc., as well as preparation of daily, monthly, and quarterly reports. Ms. Oren assists the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing and consolidation, and performs research activities on technical accounting guidance. In addition, she is helping to develop and monitor internal controls for accounting processes.
Before joining Sol Systems, Ms. Oren spent four years in public accounting, working in the audit department at CohnReznick, LLP where she performed audits of small and mid-sized companies, with a focus on solar energy developers, operators, and EPCs. Other clients of hers included commercial real estate owners as well as registered investment companies. Ms. Oren performed examinations and compiled reports for clients applying for Section 1603 Grants in Lieu of Tax Credits as well as those applying for Solar Investment Tax Credits.
Ms. Oren received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the American University Kogod School of Business in May 2011, where she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity.
