Jill Brandt

Director, Go-To-Market Strategy

Jill Brandt oversees all go-to-market strategies for Sol Systems’ various development businesses. Her main responsibilities include market intelligence, competitive landscape, product development and sales & marketing strategy.

Prior to Sol Systems, Ms. Brandt worked at NRG Energy for five years. Her most recent role was as Director of Business Development, running a national sales team focused on large C&I development for NRG’s non-commodity products and services, that included onsite solar, offsite solar and wind, fuel cell, community solar, and combined heat and power. Before that, Ms. Brandt worked in marketing for NRG, overseeing the team responsible for all corporate communications (annual report, sustainability report, etc), the home services division for Reliant Energy, and overall brand management. She was initially hired at NRG as one of the original 15 employees for EVgo, the nation’s first privately funded electric vehicle network. Prior to NRG, Ms. Brandt worked for a large marketing and advertising agency, managing clients that ranged from large auto makers to professional sports teams.

Ms. Brandt holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Brandt has received the 2015 Crystal Award for “Judges Favorite” from the American Marketing Association for NRG’s Free Press Summer Festival sponsorship highlight, the “2014 Marketing Superstar” awarded by the Chief Marketing Officer at NRG, and a 2011 Lantern Award and 2011 Business Marketing Association for Best Business Event for the NRG EV Dallas-Fort Worth Launch Event. Jill has traveled to around 90 countries, hiked several tall mountains, and hopes to one day be able to karaoke a Busta Rhymes song.
