Jennifer Williams conducts due diligence and manages financial close for solar project acquisitions as part of the Sol Systems Investments team. In this role, she connects the company’s investor partners with developers seeking capital.
Ms. Williams’s experience in the solar industry dates back to 2008. Prior to joining Sol Systems, she worked at Self-Help Credit Union and Ventures Fund, where she helped underwrite more than $57M in term debt for utility scale solar projects. In 2013, she created a referral program for pay-as-you-go solar customers as a Carolina Startup Fellow at Simpa Networks in Bangalore, India. Ms. Williams also interned at Mosaic, where she led a business development project to prioritize solar development opportunities with input from crowd investors. Prior to this, she led a region of solar subcontractors as a Project Manager at Sungevity.
Ms. Williams holds a Master of Environmental Management at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and an MBA at UNC-Chapel Hill Kenan Flagler Business School, where she was a Falls Prize recipient and graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. She received her B.A. in Philosophy and English from Middlebury College.
