Sol Systems, LLC (“Sol Systems”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Sol Systems collects and uses your personal information.

In some of our emails to you, we may use a “click-through URL.” We track click-through(s) to help us determine your interest in particular topics/services/products and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. 
  • Payment and transactional data needed to complete your orders on or through the Service (including name, payment card information, bank account number, billing information, and your purchase history. 
  • Research data that you provide when you agree to participate in our surveys, promotions, or contents, such as your survey responses.

  • Information We Obtain from Other Sources. We may combine personal information we receive from you with personal information we obtain from other sources, such as: 
  • Data providers, such as information services and data licensors.

  • Marketing partners, such as companies that have entered into joint marketing relationships with us. 
  • Information Automatically Collected. We, our service providers, and our business partners may automatically log information about you and your computer or mobile device. For example, when visiting our website, we log your computer or mobile device operating system type, browser type, browser language, pages you viewed, how long you spent on a page, access times, IP address, the website you visited before browsing to our website and information about your use of and actions on our website. Sol Systems collects and uses information about you to provide and deliver its Services that you request, to operate its Website, improve our Services and our business, communicate with you about the Services, provide support, and to inform you about upcoming changes or improvements or new product or service updates. In addition, Sol Systems collects and uses information about you in order to register your solar energy system with the appropriate state regulatory agencies, and to comply with legal requirements.

  • Protect our, your, or others’ rights, privacy, safety, or property (including by making or defending legal claims);

Sol Systems does not disclose personal information about you to any third party outside of Sol Systems unless one of the following applies: 

  • We may share your personal information when we have your consent to do so or when you direct us to do so.

  • We may share your personal information with the appropriate state regulatory agencies that require such information for the purposes of registering your solar system to produce SRECs. 
  • We may share your personal information in certain circumstances where we have a good faith belief that the disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary for the following: 
  • To comply with applicable laws, and to respond to lawful subpoenas or legal processes. 
  • To protect the rights and property of Sol Systems, our agents, customers, and others. This includes enforcing our agreements, policies, and terms of use.

  • We may share your personal information when we do a business deal or negotiate a business deal, involving the sale or transfer of all or a part of our business or assets. These deals can include any merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding.

Access: If you have a registered for a Service account, you may review and update certain account information by logging into the account. 

Opt-Out of Marketing Communications: You may opt out of marketing emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the email.  You may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing communications.

Sol Systems takes reasonable precautions to safeguard the security of your information using industry-standard physical, electronic, and managerial procedures. Sol Systems collects and stores information about you in a safe and secure database. We strive to follow industry standard practices for managing and securing electronic data, and we comply with all applicable federal and state regulations. 

Sol Systems also limits access to information about you to our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations. 

Our Commitment to Your Privacy 

Your privacy is important to us. Although Sol Systems’ website contains links to other sites, Sol Systems is not responsible for the privacy practices of other companies or individuals, or of other sites that are linked from our website. We encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of those companies and individuals. 

International Data Transfer 

We are headquartered in the United States and may use service providers that operate in other countries. Your personal information may be transferred to the United States or other locations where privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your state, province, or country. 

Children 

The Service is not intended for use by children under 16 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information through the Service from a child under 16 without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian as required by law, we will delete it. 

California Shine the Light Law 

Under California’s Shine the Light law (California Civil Code Section 1798.83), California residents may ask companies with whom they have formed a business relationship primarily for personal, family or household purposes to provide the names of third parties to which they have disclosed certain personal information (as defined under the Shine the Light law) during the preceding calendar year for their own direct marketing purposes and the categories of personal information disclosed. In your request, you must include the statement “Shine the Light Request,” and provide your first and last name and mailing address and certify that you are a California resident. We reserve the right to require additional information to confirm your identity and California residency. Do Not Track
