This past quarter, Sol Systems added a new Chief Technology Officer, Michael Gibson, and an Analyst, Andrew Gilligan. We are all very excited to have these two great additions to our company!

Michael Gibson joins Sol Systems as an experienced software engineer and IT professional who specializes in web design and software development. Prior to becoming a member of the Sol Systems team, he worked as a software engineer with Ariadne Genomics, LLC, where he built systems to help the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) streamline their business and research processes. Mr. Gibson also carries more than 6 years of experience as a software consultant; he has worked with Falling Creek Design Group, a company which he helped found, and as an independent consultant. Mr. Gibson holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia.

At Sol Systems, Mike’s will be aligning Sol Systems core competencies with a strategic technological vision that will make our services both more effective and efficient. As Sol Systems continues to grow, Mike’s skills and effort will ensure our technical capabilities grow as well.

Andrew Gilligan, a senior at Georgetown University, is pursuing his interest in solar energy while he completes his undergraduate studies. As an undergraduate student, Andrew helped form Georgetown Energy, a student run organization that provides consulting services for solar investments in D.C., and currently serves as the team’s project leader. Additionally, Andrew serves on the Executive Committee for Georgetown Alternative Spring Break. Born in London, Andrew is a dual citizen of the EU and the U.S., and his non-professional interests are dominated primarily by sports, especially basketball.

With Sol Systems, Andrew will work with the team to ensure our customers’ systems are registered to produce SRECs in a timely manner, provide customer service when needed, and deliver his well honed research and writing skills.
