Senayt Rahwa is Associate Counsel at Sol Systems, where she lends legal support to Sol Systems’ solar project finance team during project negotiations, deal structuring, and transaction closings.
Prior to joining Sol Systems, Ms. Rahwa was an Associate in the Tax Credit Finance and Syndication practice group at Nixon Peabody LLP, where her practice focused on representing major institutional investors in the financing of renewable projects qualifying for the Investment Tax Credit. Additionally, she spent much of her time also working with investors, lenders, and developers to structure and close deals qualifying for New Markets Tax Credits. Ms. Rahwa represented key players at every level of NMTC transactions bringing much needed capital into underserved communities including the development of charter schools, healthcare facilities, grocery stores, and mixed-use developments.
Ms. Rahwa received her J.D. from Georgetown University, where she served as President of the Black Law Students Association and was on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. She received a B.S. in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis where she was a John B. Ervin Scholar.
