Anjali Bains works in the Project Development team of the broader Project Operations group. She leads early-to-mid-stage project development for ground-mount systems in the Mid-Atlantic, taking them from site control through interconnection, local and state permitting, and preliminary site studies and design
Ms. Bains started her career in solar as an analyst in SunEdison’s Renewable Energy Leadership Development Program, a two-year rotation program for recent graduates. As part of the inaugural class she helped to define the mission and framework of the program. She spent her first year supporting the closing of a $100 million tax equity fund with the residential structured finance team, performing pricing and market analysis and due diligence for investors. After spending her second year as a global project manager for an enterprise asset management software platform in the downstream asset management team, she moved permanently into large scale utility development, where she led the early-stage development of three 100MW+ solar projects in Colorado and Arizona.
Ms. Bains graduated cum laude from Columbia University with a B.S. in Earth & Environmental Engineering.
